• From New Haven: Take I-95 to Exit 90 (Olde Mystick Village and Mystic Aquarium exit). Bear right onto Route 27, passing the Mystic Seaport. Turn left at the end of the road onto Route 1. Turn right at the first traffic light, and then bear left at all the forks on Mason's Island.
• From Providence: Traveling I-95 South, take Exit 90 (the Mystic-Old Mystic exit). Make a left turn onto Route 27, passing the Mystic Seaport. Turn left at the end of the road onto Route 1. Turn right at the first traffic light, and then bear left at all the forks on Mason's Island.
• From the Mystic Train Station: Contact Yellow Cab at 860.443.4321. The cost of a ticket from the Train Station to Enders Island is roughly $10. Cabs are normally available at the station to meet trains during the summer, but are not always immediately available on busy days or during the off-season. We recommend calling ahead to reserve a ride.
• PLEASE NOTE:Enders Island is connected to Masons Island via a causeway. When you approach the Gatehouse to Mason's Island, you will see a sign "Private Roads - No Trespassing"; as you come upon the guard booth. If there is someone in the guard booth, please stop and inform them that you are traveling to Enders Island. If the booth is unmanned, please proceed ahead slowly, following the signs to Enders Island.
We ask all visitors to Enders Island to obey the posted speed limit of 20mph, come to a complete stop at all stop signs, and be watchful of children and adults walking, running, or bicycling (some with pets) along the three roads that we are permitted to cross over: Chippechaug Trail; East Forest; and Yacht Club Road, especially when passing by the Mason's Island Yacht Club. Please join us in being good neighbors to our friends on Mason's Island.
Attention all Dog Owners: Please keep your dogs on a leash at all times and out of the planting/gardens while visiting Enders Island or crossing over Chippechaug Trail, East Forest, and Yacht Club Road on Masons Island. We and our neighbors on Mason's Island take great pride in the natural beauty of God’s creation and enjoy cultivating that beauty annually. In addition, please be conscientious about cleaning up after your pet.
